We
had an opportunity to present The 15th International Shiatsu Conference
in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of the Canadian Shiatsu
Society of British Columbia and the Canadian College of Shiatsu
Therapy. On the second day of the conference, free Shiatsu Seminar was
held at the UBC, with over 100 Shiatsu practitioners and massage
therapists from all over the world, and more than 150 local
participants. Dr. Hiroshi Ishizauka sensei, principal of the Japan
Shiatsu College instructed Shiatsu for pathological condition". Dr.
Ishizuka who is an expert in Anatomy reported his research on advantage
of Shiatsu based on a medical rationale.
He established the efficacy of Shiatsu of various symptoms such as the
painless delivery of the alleviation constipation, urinary stone, and
also relieving atopic dermatitis. Examples of actual medical conditions
and graphs were shown.

シュコロンビア州立大学において、無料セミナーが開催されました。世界各国から100名を越える指圧師及びその他のマッサージセラピスト、また150名を
越える地元カナダの一般の方々が参加し、日本指圧専門学校校長・医学博士石塚寛先生の「臨床指圧」と題するセミナーが行われました。解剖学の専門家である
石塚先生が、医学的な根拠に基づく指圧の効果についての研究を発表されました。指圧と無痛分娩、指圧による便秘の緩和、指圧による尿管血石治療、また指圧
によるアトピー性皮膚炎の治療など、医学的な実例を紹介し、指圧が様々な症状に効果的である事を立証されました。
